TOM MOLNAR GOT HIS START DECADES AGO WITH OLIVER CONNECTING ROD COMPANY AND LATER MOVED ON AS PRESIDENT OF K1 THAT WAS FORMERLY OWNED BY CARILLO ROD COMPANY BEFORE BEING BOUGHT BY THE DOVER CORPORATION THAT NOW PRESENTLY OWNS WISECO PISTON, JE PISTON, AND K1. TOM BRINGS A WEALTH OF EXPERIANCE AND KNOWLEDGE TO THE TABLE WHEN IT COMES TO CONNECTING ROD AND CRANKSHAFT ENGINEERING. AT ONE TIME THE ZL1 SPEED SHOP (THEN KNOWN AS SAG PERFORMANCE GROUP) WOULD USE MOLNAR CRANK AND RODS IN APPLICATIONS ONLY TO AROUND 1200HP TO BE CONSERVATIVE BASED ON THE PRICE POINT OF HIS PRODUCTS. BUT AFTER SOME TIME OF SEEING FAILURES WITH MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE BRANDS, WE DECIDED TO TRY TOM'S CRANK AND RODS IN GREATER THAN 1200HP APPLICATIONS, THAT IS WITH TOM'S BLESSING. YEARS LATER WE NOW REALIZE TOMS PRODUCTS CAN BE USED IN CERTAIN APPLIATIONS OVER 1500HP WITH SUCCESS AND WHEN PROPERLY PAIRED WITH THE RIGHT OTHER PARTS AND WITH CORRECT ENGINE TUNING. WE HAVE EVEN USED MOLNAR CRANK AND RODS IN TWIN TURBO LARGE CUBIC INCH BIG BLOCK ALCOHOL ENGINES THAT RUN 30+PSI TURBO BOOST CAPABLE OF OVER 2000 HORSEPOWER. BUY WITH CONFIDENCE!
Note: The STROKER version of this severe duty rods is recommended for strokes over 3.800" to avoid extra clearance work on your engine block. Contact the ZL1 Speed Shop if you would like to upgrade this rods to the stroker version along with the power adder severe duty beam option. There is a small upgrade charge for Stroker option to be added but it saves time of cutting the block for added rod to block clearance and allows block to remain stronger without cutting block in severe duty power adder applications! Stroker option will also give added cam lobe to rod clearance when running longer strokes over 4.125 in LS engine blocks with standard cam tunnel height, tall deck or standard deck height.
